| Popis líce | The obverse displays a bold calligraphic legend in Nastaliq script, arranged across the field in three horizontal registers divided by raised linear borders. The central band bears the royal title and name of the emperor Muhammad Shah in large, fluid strokes, while the upper and lower registers contain complementary portions of the imperial titulature. The inscription is deeply struck into the hammered gold flan, imparting a characteristic uneven surface typical of Mughal hand-struck coinage of the early eighteenth century. |

| Popis rubu | The reverse presents a three-register calligraphic composition in Nastaliq script, similarly framed by horizontal raised lines. The upper register carries the epithet of divine benediction, the central band records the mint name Shahjahanabad together with the regnal year and Hijri date, and the lower register contains the remainder of the mint and date formula. The deep, confident engraving and the slightly irregular flan edges are consistent with the hammered production technique employed at the imperial Shahjahanabad mint throughout Muhammad Shah's reign. |
