Reverse description Three horizontal bands of Persian nastaliq script fill the central field, containing the mint and regnal legend of Emperor Jahangir, with the Hijri regnal year recorded at the base. The inscription names the issuing authority, the mint city of Agra, and the ruling emperor. Decorative rosettes or floral stops separate the lines of text. The entire reverse is enclosed within a beaded outer border consistent with Mughal hammered gold coinage of this period. The calligraphy is bold and deeply struck, reflecting the high standard of the Agra mint.
