| Beschrijving keerzijde | Hammered gold reverse displaying a multi-line Persian legend in Nasta'liq script arranged across the field in two principal registers separated by a horizontal rule. The inscription records that Nur Jahan Begum struck this coin at Burhanpur, making this one of the rare Mughal gold issues bearing the name of the empress consort as issuing authority. Floral and foliate ornamental motifs, including stylized blossoms rendered as pellet clusters, embellish the margins between the legend and the plain outer border, consistent with the refined artistic conventions of the Jahangir-era Mughal mint. |
