| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a three-line Persian poetic legend in elegant Nasta'liq script, enclosed within a horizontal cartouche or lozenge-shaped frame. The inscription invokes the Imam of the Age (Sahib al-Zaman), a standard Shi'a religious formula employed on Zand coinage. The border is composed of a continuous ring of raised pellets framing the entire design, characteristic of hammered Zand gold issues. |
