Obverse description Central field dominated by bold Nasta'liq calligraphy in high relief, presenting the imperial kalima or regnal legend of Emperor Akbar arranged across the flan. The inscription is rendered in a flowing, cursive style characteristic of late sixteenth-century Mughal die-cutting, with deeply struck letterforms that fill the irregular round planchet. A foliate or floral decorative border encircles the field, formed by stylized leaf and vine motifs hammered into the peripheral zone. The overall composition reflects the refined aesthetic of the Lahore mint workshop under Akbar's reign.
