Reverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Nasta'liq calligraphic legend arranged in three or four horizontal lines within a plain rectangular cartouche, recording the emperor's name and titles along with the mint name Ahmadabad and the regnal year expressed in the Ilahi calendar. The inscription is enclosed within a characteristic double row of raised pellets forming an inner beaded border, with a further beaded border at the coin's periphery following the irregular contour of the hammered flan. The execution reflects the bold, deeply struck style associated with Akbar's Ahmadabad mint during the 980s Ilahi era.
