| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized trident (trishula) flanked by Newar script legends within a raised circular border. Surrounding the central device is a decorative four-petaled lotus flower motif, each petal containing additional Newar script characters. The entire design is enclosed by a prominent outer ring of raised pellets, characteristic of Newar coinage of the Malla period. The overall composition reflects the highly ornate and sacred iconographic tradition of the Patan royal mint. |
