| Reverse description | Central field features a stylised floral or lobed cartouche containing a trident symbol (trishula) flanked by Devanagari inscriptions invoking the deities Gorakhnath and Kumari, patron divinities of the Kathmandu Valley. The cartouche is set within a broader circular field filled with additional Devanagari lettering arranged around the central device. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded or dotted border following the coin's circumference. The composition reflects the deep religious syncretism of the Malla-period Nepalese coinage, combining Shaivite and tantric iconographic traditions. The flan shows the characteristic irregular edge of a hammered silver issue. |
