| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized Devanagari inscription within a raised circular cartouche, surrounded by an elaborate floral and foliate scroll design with four petal-like lobes radiating outward. The overall composition is characteristic of the Newar artistic tradition, with interlocking curved elements filling the annular field between the central cartouche and the outer border. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border encircling the coin's periphery. The hammered technique imparts an irregular planchet surface with moderate relief throughout. The royal name of Bhaskara Malla is rendered in Devanagari script within the central medallion. |
