Obverse description Central field bears four Chinese characters arranged in a cruciform reading order (top to bottom, right to left), denoting 'Silver Ration / 1 Qian,' rendered in bold incuse-style relief. The characters are enclosed within a beaded inner circle, itself surrounded by a wider beaded border running along the coin's rim. The field is plain with no additional decorative elements or legend.

Reverse description A sinuous five-clawed Imperial dragon is depicted in high relief, coiling across the entire reverse field with its head facing upward toward the flaming pearl at centre. The dragon's scales, whiskers, and claws are rendered with fine detail, and stylised cloud and wave motifs fill the surrounding field. A beaded inner circle frames the dragon, echoed by a continuous beaded border along the rim. No legend or inscription appears on the reverse.
