| 备注 |
Brazil's Thesouro Nacional series of small-denomination treasury notes was a direct response to chronic coin shortages that plagued the country through the early twentieth century. The 1 Mil Réis denomination effectively substituted for metallic currency rather than functioning as a proper banknote in any conventional sense — it circulated as pocket change, and the wear rates reflect that.
The "10th. Print" designation distinguishes this from nine earlier printings of the same design, all produced by ABNC in New York across a run spanning several decades. Small differences in plate state and serial prefix lettering are the only reliable way to differentiate printings without reference to documented serial ranges.
