| Obverse description | Interlaced crowned FV monogram of Duke Frederick Ulrich occupying the central field, surmounted by an ornate crown. Small pellets or crosses appear in the flanking fields to either side of the monogram. The design is rendered in the hammered style typical of early seventeenth-century German petty coinage, with no surrounding legend. |

| Reverse description | Denomination expressed in two lines of bold Gothic-style lettering within the plain field, reading EIN / MATIER, with a small triangular or decorative device separating the two lines. A small pellet appears below the inscription. The design is simple and utilitarian, consistent with the minor fractional coinage of the Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel principality of this period. |
