| 裏面の説明 | The reverse bears a multi-line inscription in Sinhalese script filling the entire field, rendered in the bold raised characters typical of medieval Lankan copper coinage. The legend reads 'Sri raja Lilavati', identifying the issuing queen by name and royal title. The lettering is arranged in horizontal registers occupying nearly the full flan. A beaded border encircles the inscription. The script style is consistent with 12th–13th century Sinhalese epigraphic conventions. |

Lilavati ruled Ceylon three separate times — deposed, reinstated, deposed again — making her reign dates among the most contested in Polonnaruwan historiography. Her coins were struck during a period of acute dynastic instability following the death of Parakramabahu I, when the throne changed hands repeatedly through a combination of marriage politics and military force. Codrington's classification of this type as #80 places it within a copper series whose attributions to specific reigns remain debated, given how little Polonnaruwan mint practice is documented.
