| 备注 |
Tabakmesshaus Kosmos was a Leipzig tobacco trading house, and this 1921 Notgeld issue is entirely characteristic of the inflationary emergency currency flooding German commerce that year — private firms printing their own small-denomination scrip to compensate for the chronic shortage of official coinage. Adolf Forker was a local Leipzig printer, not a banknote specialist, which tends to show in the production quality of pieces from this series.
Leipzig's trade fair infrastructure made it a natural center for this kind of merchant-issued currency.
