| 背面描述 | The central field displays the large bold denomination numeral 1.00 with a double horizontal dash below, indicating one Mark in decimal notation. The surrounding legend KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE (small change substitute token) arcs around the upper and lateral fields, separated from the denomination by an inner beaded circle. The lower arc of the field features a row of five-pointed stars as decorative stops. The entire design is enclosed within a raised beaded border consistent with the obverse. |

Schwarzenbach an der Saale is a small textile-manufacturing town in northern Bavaria, and like hundreds of German municipalities in 1917, it issued notgeld coinage as the imperial war economy stripped copper and nickel from civilian circulation. Iron was the compulsory substitute. These local iron pieces circulated in tight geographic loops — accepted at specific merchants or employers — and were frequently hoarded the moment the issuing authority showed any sign of financial instability, which is partly why so many survive in respectable condition.
