正面描述 Dark brown and red letterpress note with a blue outer border frame. At centre, a large ornate heraldic vignette shows a crowned shield bearing a rearing horse — the arms of Hanover — surrounded by acanthus foliage and a decorative cartouche, with the legend KÖNIGS-KETTE and a commemorative inscription below referring to a gift from King Georg V of Hanover on 1 July 1860. The denomination '1 MARK' appears in bold red numerals and lettering at upper left and right, with redemption text and a manuscript signature in the lower left panel, and a text describing the Scharmbeck Schützenfest in the lower right panel.

背面描述 Red and dark brown letterpress note with a blue outer border frame. At left, a full-length vignette of a uniformed marksman in traditional shooting festival attire, holding a rifle. The central and right portion of the note is occupied by a detailed view of the Scharmbeck shooting range (Schützenhof), showing a long wall of numbered target frames set against a background of trees. A bold red banner ribbon across the upper portion carries a Low German humorous dialect inscription. The denomination '1 MARK' and the legend 'SCHÜTZENHOF SCHARMBECK' are printed in large red letters across the lower panel, accompanied by a manuscript signature.

备注

Schützenhof notgeld was issued by shooting clubs and their associated halls during the inflationary period, redeemable only within the premises — functionally a scrip for beer, food, and entry fees rather than a circulating currency. Scharmbeck (now Bad Scharmbeck, absorbed into Osterholz-Scharmbeck) was a small Prussian market town, and Fritz Saade was a local printer with no wider commercial profile. The watermark is unusual for an issue of this type and scale; most comparable Schützenhof pieces skipped security features entirely given their purely local redemption scope.
