| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bold Expressionist vignette of a stylised eagle with sweeping, geometric wings rendered in dark letterpress on cream paper, signed 'Egon Tschirch 1922' in the upper right corner. The denomination '1 MARK' is set in heavy block lettering at the centre base, beneath the eagle. Curved text arching along the left and right borders carries the issuer legend, with four lines of explanatory text printed in a decorative hand-drawn typeface across the lower third of the note. |

| Opmerkingen |
Rostock's spring trade fair series of 1922 sits at the intersection of German municipal Notgeld and the short-lived "Serienscheine" collecting craze, when towns across Weimar Germany issued decorative emergency currency explicitly designed to be hoarded rather than spent — effectively converting civic pride into a self-financing scheme. Carl Boldt's Hofbuchdruckerei printed the run locally, and Egon Tschirch, a Rostock-born painter with a regional reputation, supplied the designs.
Tschirch's involvement is the detail worth noting. He was not a commercial illustrator pressed into service but a trained fine artist, which separates this series from the bulk of Serienscheine output.
