| 备注 |
Neustadt in Westpreußen — today Wejherowo in northern Poland — issued this note in the chaotic first weeks of August 1914, when the mobilization order effectively drained coined metal from circulation overnight. Municipal magistrates across the German Reich responded by printing emergency Notgeld on their own authority, without waiting for central sanction. This note is one of the earliest wave of such issues.
The paper itself was never meant to last. Redemption was assumed to be weeks away. It wasn't.
