| Obverse description | Plain cream paper note printed in black letterpress with a decorative outer border of interlocking chain-link pattern enclosing the entire design. The header reads 'Gefangenen-Lager' flanked by numeral '1' at each corner; below, three dotted-border panels contain in bold Gothic type 'Eine' at left, a large central numeral '1' within a dotted oval, and 'Mark' at right. The issuing location 'Lamsdorf O.-S.' is set in the lower centre, followed by the disclaimer line 'Kein öffentliches Zahlungsmittel.'
