Obverse description Square klippe flan with a rope-milled border running along all four edges. At center, a crowned fleur-de-lis motif rendered in bold relief, the crown surmounting the stylized lily with flanking foliate scrolls. The date 1598 is distributed across the four corners of the field, with digits '1' and '5' appearing in the upper left and upper right respectively, and '9' and '8' in the lower left and lower right, framing the central device symmetrically.

Reverse description Square klippe flan with a rope-milled border and an inner linear frame enclosing the entire design. A ducal crown is prominently displayed at the top center of the field. Beneath the crown, the monogram 'CDS' occupies the upper register in large, bold lettering, standing for 'Carolus Dux Sudermaniae' (Karl, Duke of Södermanland). Below the monogram, the denomination mark 'I M' (1 Mark) is inscribed in the lower register, with the letters flanking the center of the field.
