| Obverse description | Armored and crowned half-length effigy of King Karl IX facing right, brandishing a raised sword in the right hand and holding a Globus Cruciger in the left. The royal figure is enclosed within a beaded or rope circle, above which the radiant Tetragrammaton in Hebrew characters (יהוה) is displayed in the field. The peripheral legend in Latin runs outside the inner circle along the coin's rim. |
