Obverse description A beaded border frames the obverse field. The city coat of arms of Grünberg in Silesia occupies the centre, depicting a fortified castle or gatehouse with crenellated towers in relief. Below the arms, the denomination is rendered in stylised Gothic script as '1M'. The encircling legend 'GRÜNBERG SCHL.' arcs along the upper periphery within the beaded rim.
