| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborately interlaced royal cypher of Christian V — the crowned monogram formed by intertwined C5 cyphers in Baroque style — surmounted by a large royal crown with cross finial and flanked by the peripheral legend. A dotted inner border runs along the rim, and the mint-master's initials appear at the base of the field. The monogram is rendered in high relief with ornate interlacing characteristic of late 17th-century Danish minting style. |
