Obverse description Crowned and armored bust of Christian III facing right occupies the central field, with the date 15-35 divided on either side of the effigy. The king is depicted in half-length, wearing a crown and plate armor, rendered in the robust late-Gothic style characteristic of early Danish hammered coinage. A beaded inner circle separates the central effigy from the surrounding Latin legend. The circular legend reads CRISTIAN⸰D⸰G⸰E⸰REX⸰DACIE, identifying the ruler as Christian III, elected King of Denmark by the Grace of God.
