| Obverse description | The upper portion is divided into three panels: at left, an octagonal cartouche on a black background carries the denomination numeral '1' flanked by the word 'MARK' on either side; at centre, a finely engraved vignette presents a street-level view of the Orsoy Rathaus (town hall), labelled 'Rathaus' above; at right, a second octagonal cartouche bears the municipal seal inscribed 'SIGILLUM OPPIDI ORSOYENSIS' surrounding three horse heads above a fortified gate. The issuer legends 'STADT' and 'ORSOY' appear in bold letterpress at upper left and upper right respectively. The lower register contains the redemption text, the date 'Orsoy, den 1.5.1921', the Bürgermeister's manuscript signature, series designation 'SERIE A', and a typeset serial number in red. |
