正面描述 The central vignette presents a waterfront view of the Uhlenhorst district of Hamburg, with multi-storey buildings set against a harbour panorama with sailing vessels; the caption 'Uhlenhorst' appears to the upper right of the vignette. The denomination numeral '1' is repeated in stylised Art Nouveau letterpress on both lateral borders, framed by a decorative geometric and foliate border in ochre and grey-green tones, with 'NOTGELD' and 'HAMBURG' printed in bold red letters across the top. The lower portion carries a two-line disclaimer text, the issuance place and date 'HAMBURG 1. JULI 1921', a serial number, and two manuscript signatures flanking the number field.

备注

Hamburg issued its own small-denomination emergency currency — Notgeld — during the early 1920s as the Reichsbank struggled to keep subsidiary coinage and low-value paper in adequate supply. City and municipal authorities across Germany filled the gap themselves, with varying degrees of seriousness. Hamburg's issues were relatively sober compared to the collectible-themed Notgeld flooding out of smaller towns at the same time, which were frankly produced more for philatelic sale than actual use.

The DeNG reference places this within a well-documented Hamburg municipal series, with the .1-2/3 suffix indicating known signature or date variants.
