Reverse description The large numeral '1' dominates the center of the field, flanked symmetrically on either side by sprays of two oak branches bearing lobed leaves, their stems curving inward toward the base of the numeral. Below the numeral, the denomination MARK is inscribed in bold capital letters. The date appears at the bottom of the field along the lower rim, and the Berlin Mint mark 'A' is positioned at the top of the field, just below the inner border.
