| Obverse description | The obverse is printed on a tan-gold ground in a bold letterpress style. To the left, the municipal arms of Lüdinghausen — a crowned bell on a shield — serve as the issuing authority's vignette. To the right, the denomination 'Eine Mark' is rendered in large Gothic (Fraktur) script in red with black shadow, dominating the upper field. Below a pair of ruled lines, a validity clause in Gothic cursive script states the conditions of redemption, followed by the place and date 'Lüdinghausen, d. 1. Okt 1921' and the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister; the printer's imprint 'Fr. Wilh. Ruhfus Dortmund' appears at lower left and 'Byvank & Weischer' at lower right. |
