正面描述 The obverse is composed in a decorative Jugendstil letterpress style, dominated by a large scroll-and-ribbon vignette bearing the denomination inscription 'Eine Mark' in red Gothic script. At center, the municipal coat of arms of Münstermaifeld is displayed within a shield, showing a red collegiate church facade with blue spires and a key motif. Below the arms, a text panel in Gothic blackletter script states the issuing authority, validity clause, place and date of issue ('Münstermaifeld, im August 1921'), and bears a manuscript signature above the printed title 'Bürgermeister'. The entire composition is framed within a multi-rule border with ornamental corner cartouches.

备注

Münstermaifeld is a small town in the Eifel region of the Rhineland, and its 1921 notgeld issues reflect the acute small-denomination coin shortage that swept Germany following the First World War. Municipal and commercial bodies across the country were authorized — or simply took it upon themselves — to fill the gap, producing millions of low-value paper notes that circulated locally until withdrawn.

Albert Fastenrath of Elberfeld was a mid-tier commercial printer active in the notgeld trade during this period, handling contracts for numerous Rhineland municipalities. The reference numbers suggest at least four distinct variants within this type — likely differing in serial range, signature, or minor typographic detail rather than fundamental redesign.
