正面铭文 Notgeld 1 Mrk. 1 Mrk. 1.3.1921 Partenkirchen Gemeinderat.
背面描述 Multicolour letterpress reverse with a double-ruled brown border. At centre, a large oval vignette presents a panoramic view of Partenkirchen with traditional Bavarian timber-framed buildings and a church steeple in the foreground, backed by the dramatic rocky peaks of the Wetterstein massif under a blue sky; a figure in regional dress is visible in the middle ground. The denomination '1 Mrk.' and the word 'Notgeld' are repeated in Fraktur script along all four margins, with the address '18. Floriansplatz 21.' at the top, 'Partenkirchen.' below the oval, and the printer's imprint 'DRUCK · J.A. SCHWARZ, LINDENBERG I/ALLGÄU' at the foot.

备注

Partenkirchen issued this note during the acute small-change shortage that gripped Germany in 1921, well before the hyperinflationary collapse of 1922–23. These municipal Notgeld pieces were authorized locally and redeemable in theory, though in practice many towns issued far more than they could back — redemption was uneven at best.

J. Adolf Schwarz of Lindenberg im Allgäu was a regional printer serving numerous Bavarian and Allgäu municipalities during this period, not one of the major Notgeld specialty houses. Partenkirchen would merge with the neighboring town of Garmisch in 1935 by direct order of Adolf Hitler, ahead of the Winter Olympics.
