| Obverse description | The upper portion of the note is divided into three color-blocked panels — a yellow-striped band at top flanked by the town's heraldic shield at each corner — with the denomination panel in red at centre bearing the value "1 Mark" in bold Gothic script. To the left a teal panel carries the validity notice and to the right the issue place, date, and a manuscript signature of the Magistrat. The lower half presents a detailed letterpress panoramic vignette of the town of Eldagsen as it appeared circa 1600, with the town arms and caption "Eldagsen im Jahre 1600" centred above the skyline. |
