Beschrijving keerzijde Light blue notgeld with a central pictorial vignette enclosed within a red decorative frame border with foliate corner ornaments. The vignette, rendered in a warm palette of greens, browns and red, presents a rural North Frisian farmstead with a thatched red-brick manor house behind an arched gateway, framed by trees and animated by foreground figures in traditional regional dress. The red denomination numeral '1!' appears at upper left of the vignette, with the inscription 'IN MARK' set in bold red letterpress below the central panel, flanked by scroll ornaments.

Opmerkingen

Langenhorn is a small village in Nordfriesland, and its 1921 Notgeld issue is notable primarily for the involvement of Ingwer Paulsen, a local Frisian artist whose work documenting North Frisian peasant life gave the series an ethnographic weight unusual for municipal emergency currency of this period. The collaboration with Hans Philipp and printing through Gebh. & Kuntz in nearby Flensburg kept the production entirely regional — a deliberate choice by many Schleswig-Holstein communities at the time, given the post-plebiscite sensitivities along the Danish border.
