| Obverse description | Brown-on-cream offset letterpress note dated 10 November 1921, with a central silhouette vignette of two blacksmiths working at an anvil, flanked left by a decorative ironwork panel and right by a tall candleholder or menorah. The denomination numeral '1' appears in an ornamental frame at lower left, with a large block letter 'M' in a corresponding frame at lower right. A four-line inscription in Westphalian Low German dialect occupies the central lower panel, and the border carries the text of the payment obligation in German. Facsimile signatures of the Magistrat officials Harten and Peickel appear to the right of the vignette. |
