正面描述	Printed in teal-blue and black on cream paper within a double-ruled rectangular border, the obverse centres on a herring fish vignette at top, over which the curved inscription GUTSCHEIN KEITUM arches, with the numeral I and the abbreviated island name SY/LT superimposed on the fish. Below the bold letterpress denomination MARK, a horizontal panoramic vignette in fine line engraving renders a Frisian farmstead with trees and a country lane, while the lower portion carries a Gothic script redemption notice, a serial number at lower left, and a manuscript signature above the engraver's imprint Holtz at lower right.
