The title inscription 'Stellinger Notgeld' is rendered in large gothic blackletter script across the top, flanked on either side by star-shaped denomination cartouches reading '1 Mark'. A Low German verse in two parts runs below the portrait vignette, above a banner carrying the validity clause and issue date 'Stellingen, 1.
