| Obverse description | Dark brown letterpress design on cream paper, divided into a bold geometric framework of Gothic-style compartments. The central field bears the municipal coat of arms of Marienburg — a shield with a Teutonic cross and castle tower — flanked by the large denomination numeral '1' and stylized Gothic 'M' mark symbols in the corner panels.
