| 表面の説明 | The face is divided into three vertical panels framed by a multi-colour geometric border of red, teal, and white zigzag motifs. The left panel carries a circular cartouche with the denomination numeral '1' over 'Mark' flanked by small floral ornaments; the centre panel presents a letterpress vignette of a large ancient oak tree beside a wayside memorial stone (Bismarckgedenkstein) rendered in fine pen-and-ink style; the right panel bears a circular cartouche inscribed '1920 / Gutschein / von / Lutzhoeft / in Angeln'. Below the three panels, validity text is distributed across the lower left and right, a manuscript signature appears at centre-right above the title 'Gemeindevorsteher', and a bold red serial number is printed at lower left. |

Lutzhoeft — a small settlement in Schleswig — issued this note in 1920, the same year the region was deciding its national future through the post-Versailles plebiscite that ultimately divided Schleswig between Germany and Denmark. Municipal Notgeld from villages this small is among the most ephemeral paper of the entire German inflation period; most issues were redeemed and pulped within months.
Gebr. & Kunze of Flensburg printed extensively for the surrounding Schleswig municipalities during this period, and Erwin Möbbe's design credit is unusual at this level — most Notgeld of this size went to anonymous jobbing-press work.
