背面描述 The reverse carries a multicolour vignette of a large public gathering in Süderbrarup, with crowds of townspeople assembled before a decorated building draped in black-white-red German national flags; a placard reading "Stimmt Deutsch" is visible at left, referencing the 1920 Schleswig plebiscite, while dates "11. Febr." and "14. Mär." appear in stylised smoke clouds above a locomotive. The denomination "M 1 M" is repeated in the upper corners and in cartouches at the lower corners. The issuer name "Gemeinde Süderbrarup" is set in bold Gothic script across the lower panel.

备注

Süderbrarup is a small market town in Schleswig, and this note is a product of the plebiscite crisis that gripped the region in 1920. Following World War I, the Versailles settlement required a popular vote to determine whether Schleswig would go to Denmark or remain German — Zone II, which included Süderbrarup, voted in March 1920 and returned a decisive result for Germany. The local Gemeindevorstand issued emergency Notgeld precisely during this period of administrative limbo, when central currency supply was unreliable and civic authorities filled the gap themselves.

Schleswig Notgeld from 1920 often carries regional and political overtones that notes from stable German municipalities do not.
