背面描述 Printed in vivid multicolour (red, yellow, blue, and black) on cream paper, the reverse presents a humorous genre scene within a decorative red-and-blue bamboo-style border: two stout peasant women in traditional Westphalian dress stand before the portal of Schloss Corvey conversing with a Franciscan monk, the scene captioned below 'Zehnten abliefernde Weiber vor Schloß Corvey'. To the left, a scroll cartouche in gothic script carries a rhyming tithing verse, with the denomination '1 MK' in bold red numerals at the lower left.

备注

Lüchtringen was a small village municipality on the Weser, absorbed into the city of Höxter in 1970. Its Notgeld issues of 1921 belong to the second wave of German municipal emergency money — printed not out of genuine coin shortage, as in 1914–1918, but largely to meet collector demand, which had turned small-town Notgeld into a minor commercial enterprise by the early 1920s. Many Gemeinde-level issuers across Westphalia printed far more than local circulation required, shipping directly to dealers in Leipzig and Berlin.

Whether Lüchtringen's issue saw genuine local use or went straight to philatelic channels is the more honest question to ask of any note at this tier.
