| Reverse description | The reverse presents a central circular panel enclosed within a beaded border, containing a three-line denomination inscription reading I / MARIE / GROS, flanked above and below by floral rosette ornaments serving as separators. Surrounding the beaded border, a continuous outer legend bears the motto EX DURIS GLORIA with the date 1678, the entire composition separated by trefoil ornaments. The design is typical of the standardized Mariengroschen coinage of the Brunswick-Lüneburg territories. |
