Obverse description Central field features the elaborately interlaced royal cypher 'GR' (Georgius Rex) rendered in a decorative script monogram, surmounted by a royal crown with arched bands and orb. The mintmark 'C' (for Clausthal Mint) appears below the monogram near the lower rim. The design is contained within a plain circular field with no outer legend, presenting a clean, heraldic aesthetic typical of early nineteenth-century Hanoverian coinage.
