| Beschrijving voorzijde | Within a beaded inner circle, a large crowned Gothic letter 'E' — the civic monogram of Einbeck — dominates the field, rendered in ornate calligraphic style beneath a five-pointed crown. The surrounding legend, reading MON·NOVA·EINBEC, is interrupted by the date, here 1659, running along the left side of the coin. The design is characteristic of early seventeenth-century German municipal coinage, with the crowned initial serving as the primary heraldic device. |

The Virgin is depicted facing, her robes falling in stylized folds, with the infant Christ prominently displayed at center. The encircling legend reads MAT·DO·MARIA, identifying the figure as the Mother of God, Mary. Small decorative stops separate the legend elements.
