| Aanvullende informatie |
The Marengo Terminillo was a private fantasy strike issued by the AIG as a novelty piece referencing the Marengo — the 19th-century Piedmontese gold coinage whose name derived from Napoleon's 1800 victory at the Battle of Marengo, after which French-influenced monetary reforms swept northern Italy. This silver piece has no connection to that monetary history beyond borrowed nomenclature. The AIG issued several such pieces during the late 1960s and early 1970s as collector souvenirs tied to ski resort culture at Terminillo in the Apennines.
