| Obverse lettering | PHILIPPVS · IIII · D · G I (Translation: Philip IV, by the grace of God) |
| Reverse description | Central field depicts the rampant lion of León set within a quattrefoil lobe, symbolising the Kingdom of León, rendered in bold relief typical of the roller-milled series. The surrounding circular legend reads · 1631 · HISPANIAR · REX, identifying Philip IV as King of the Spains with the date prominently placed in the upper arc. A beaded border frames the entire design along the coin's edge. The overall style is consistent with the Segovian mint's mechanical coinage production of the early seventeenth century. |
