Issued to mark the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games held in Ashgabat, this note is one of several commemorative denominations released by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan for the event — a multi-sport competition that Turkmenistan hosted for the first time, having invested heavily in an entirely new Olympic-size sports complex built for the occasion.
