| 备注 |
Turkmenistan's 2009 redenomination replaced the old manat at a rate of 5,000 to 1 — one of the more dramatic revaluations of the post-Soviet period, introduced under Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow's government as part of a broader effort to stabilize an economy long distorted by Soviet-era subsidies and state-controlled pricing. The new series, printed by De La Rue, was introduced on 1 January 2009 alongside the country's first genuinely convertible exchange rate mechanism.
At the 1 manat level, a watermark remains the sole security feature — modest by De La Rue's own standards for the period.
