| Obverse description | Central device consists of a plain solid cross with expanded arms, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The shield of the Livonian Order, bearing a cross, is superimposed at the center of the design. The surrounding field carries a partial circular legend in uncial Latin characters. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, characteristic of hammered medieval coinage. The overall style is typical of late 14th-century Baltic ecclesiastical-military monetary production. |
