Obverse description Youthful laureate and draped bust of Louis XV facing right, his hair styled in long curls falling to the shoulder and tied with a ribbon, adorned with a laurel wreath. The date appears in the lower exergue below the truncation. The circular legend surrounds the effigy, reading from the upper left, with the inscription separated by pellet stops. The portrait is rendered in the elegant Baroque style characteristic of Norbert Roettiers, conveying the young king's regal bearing despite his minority.
