| Obverse description | Ornate floral and foliate border incorporating animal heads frames the central field, with a large blank watermark oval at left. A spread eagle vignette occupies the upper centre, beneath which the denomination in Arabic script appears in large characters. Arabic text body fills the centre, dated 1939, with two manuscript signatures below, identified as the Director General and the President. The word 'لبنان' (Lebanon) appears in a cartouche at right, with decorative rose and pomegranate motifs in the corners. |
