A small kneeling supplicant figure appears at her feet to the left, evoking the Venetian theme of justice and good governance. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The mintmaster's initials P·L appear prominently in the lower field beneath a horizontal bar, flanked by decorative stars. The circumferential legend IVSTITIAM·DILIGITE runs along the beaded outer border, a Venetian ducal motto enjoining the love of justice. |
